About
A quiet, private place for family history.
Sanaury started from a simple frustration: family history lives in a dozen places — an aunt’s photo album, a cousin’s spreadsheet, a grandparent’s memory — and the tools to bring it together either publish everything to the internet or let anyone change anything.
So we built the opposite. A family tree that is private from the first click, that the whole family can help build, and where the person who started it stays in charge of what goes in.
What we believe
- Family data is private. No public profiles, no indexing, no selling data. Living relatives can be hidden even from other members.
- Many hands, one editor. Anyone you invite can contribute, but changes are reviewed before they become part of the record.
- Real families are complicated. Second marriages, adoption, step-families and relatives connected through more than one branch should all be easy to record.
- You can leave. Your tree can be exported at any time.
Get started
Create a tree in a minute, add a few people, then invite the relative who remembers the most. That’s usually where the stories begin.
