How it works

A family archive everyone can help build.

You stay in charge of what’s true. Your relatives bring the names, dates and photos only they remember.

Create your tree

Start with yourself, then add parents, partners and children. Record birthplaces, dates, life events and stories.

Invite the family

Send an email invitation, a private link or a short code. Choose who can view, who can contribute and who can approve.

Review and approve

Suggestions arrive in an approval queue. Approve, reject or ask for more detail — every decision is recorded.

An approval queue for every change

Contributors never write straight to your tree. New people, edits, photos and notes all wait for you or a trusted tree admin.

Questions

Good to know

Who can see my family tree?
Only the people you invite. There are no public profiles, and private pages are hidden from search engines. Each tree is completely separate from every other tree.
What happens when a relative adds something?
Contributors’ suggestions go into an approval queue. You (or a tree admin you trust) can approve, reject, or ask for more information. They’re notified either way.
Can I hide living relatives?
Yes. By default, members with the viewer role see living people only as “Living person”, without dates, places or photos. You can change this in the tree settings.
Does it handle complicated families?
Yes — second marriages, adoptive and step parents, guardians, and relatives who are connected through more than one branch (such as cousin marriages) are all supported without duplicating anyone.
Can I take my data with me?
Tree owners can download a full export of their tree at any time. Every member can download their personal data or request that their account be deleted.
